About Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre

The Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre explains the prehistoric land bridge and ice-age ecosystems that shaped northern North America. Exhibits include fossil casts, bones (real and reproduced), life-size dioramas and a well-produced film that brings the Pleistocene environment to life. The centre contextualizes why parts of Yukon remained ice-free and how megafauna and early peoples moved across the landscape.

Many visitors pair a visit here with the nearby Yukon Transportation Museum via a pleasant walking trail. The centre is compact but rich in content and staff are usually friendly and informative, making it highly recommended for anyone interested in deep time and natural history.
