Grey Mountain Summit Trail

Grey Mountain Summit Trail climbs above Whitehorse to deliver extensive views over the city, surrounding lakes and distant ranges. The area offers multiple trail options and vignettes of alpine terrain formed by glacial sculpting; visitors report spectacular lookout moments, especially when clouds sit low in the valleys. Road access to higher parking can be rough and seasonal—many hikers prefer to approach on foot from lower trailheads for a true backcountry feel.

The summit loop is achievable as a day hike and provides an excellent chance to get above the tree line and appreciate northern landscapes. Bring proper footwear, water and weather layers as conditions can change rapidly at elevation.
