Kelowna, BC
Knox Mountain Park is Kelowna’s most accessible natural escape, minutes from downtown yet offering a strong sense of wilderness. Trails of varying difficulty sweep up the ridge to lookouts where sweeping panoramas include downtown Kelowna, Okanagan Lake and the West Kelowna bridge. The park combines paved access roads, singletrack hiking trails and mountain-bike routes, plus picnic areas and a dog off-leash park.
Visitors come to hike switchbacks, ride to viewpoints or enjoy sunset photography; well-placed benches and a wooden lookout tower make it easy to pause and take in the scenery. Facilities include seasonal washrooms and trash bins, and the park is open long hours in summer. Bring water and sun protection in hot months — summer in the Okanagan can be very warm.
