About Point Pleasant Park

Point Pleasant Park is a 75-hectare green space offering wooded trails, rocky shorelines, and historic sites like the Prince of Wales Tower. The park is popular for walking, jogging, picnicking, dog-walking, and seasonal swimming at small beaches.

With miles of trails and panoramic harbour views, it provides a natural refuge within the city and a perspective on Halifax’s coastal environment. Interpretive plaques and remnants of military installations add historical interest to the landscape.
