Surprise Corner is a tiny but iconic viewpoint that delivers one of the quintessential Banff photos: the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel tucked into an alpine valley with the Bow River snaking below. It’s a popular, easy stop that’s ideal for a brief photo break or to begin local hikes toward nearby trails and the Hoodoos Viewpoint.
