About Bow Falls Viewpoint

Bow Falls Viewpoint is a short walk from downtown Banff and provides powerful views of the wide, rushing waterfall on the Bow River. Though not the tallest falls, the combination of water, riverbanks and the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel across the way makes this a classic photo stop.

The site is especially popular at sunrise and during snowmelt when flows are strongest. Facilities are minimal but the viewpoint’s proximity to town makes it an easy add-on to any Banff itinerary.
